Second city festival ‘Not Dark’ was carried out in Yekaterinburg on 21 December 2013 7p.m. – 10 p.m. It was a chamber festival: 12 installations from artists of Yekaterinburg awaited you in the center (square formed by Moskovskaya, Zhukov, Kuibyshev and Vostochnaya streets) and one in Studentcheskaya str. Light festivals happen in many cities of the world, but ours has a few unique features: it is an initiative of non-profit organization Cultural Transit Foundation and a group of artists and designers, it is carried out in the shortest day of the year when people miss warmth and sunshine, also the festival is some sort of school that helps its participants to master techniques of light art.

Dress warm, bring a thermos of tea, don’t forget the children and embark on our artistic route: the night city is interesting and mysterious, especially with objects and sometimes even characters waiting for you in arches, yards and windows just for one night a year.
